Thanks to all who attended this Years Presentation at the Con Club.

The Committee would appreciate any feedback from the event whether it's positive/negative, the Club endeavours to make the kids come first in all it's activities.

It may be that you'd like food available or a disco to follow.........again any feedback is appreciated.

Anthony - thanks for your comments.

Your goalkeeper played a stormer against usl, he certainly helped in your victory, in my opinion we played you off the park in that 3-2 defeat but your goalkeeper and our terrible finishing in front of goal was the major factor.

Well done to all the girls this weekend. You had some real tough oponenets but the scores could have been a lot worse. I heard 3 fantastic goals scored. One each by The Jonester, The Force and our U14's 100% record so far The Jenks!!! Chins up and lets look forward not back we are still getting points on the board. We really are proud of all of you, and what you are doing. No one said it is going to be easy. You are working well together and it will only be a matter of time. Lets face it it was only a few weeks ago for some of you to even kick a ball let alone play in a football team!! DO NOT let anyone tell you any different. Rome was not built in a day just remember that!! KEEP IT UP GIRLS we know you can do it.

Hi Girls, and Boys you better read this too.....

Don't forget to bring your registration documents on Monday 17th Sept to training 2 x photo's and copy of birth cert or copy of you passport.....

U14's Girls especially I don't think you realise the seriousness if you don't get them in and want to play on Sept 23rd in the league. You must make sure you provide me with those documents the SWGL have extended our deadline and the 18th is next Wednesday. If I do not get these last few in, it will result in the whole U14's team forfeitting the season, including the cup matches!. The club will then incurring a hefty fine with us all looking like complete fools in the process. Come on people us coaches are doing our bit and have been nagging you all for ages now.... so don't you think is is about time you all pulled you fingers out to and helped us out a little bit!!!.... I for one am getting fed up with saying the same thing week in week out. You all turn up for training and want to play.

SO BRING IN THOSE DOCUMENTS IT IS AS SIMPLE AS THAT...

THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING!!!!

If you fail to provide it WILL stop you from playing in any football match this season. Yes even the friendlies!!!

GIRLS!!!!! FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE GREEN/RED & BLUE KITS I NEED MY KITS BACK SO I CAN SEE EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED FOR THIS SEASON... YET AGAIN I AM ASKING!!! YET AGAIN NO ONE IS LISTENING!!!!

This is the deal You fail to bring back kits I will have no alternative but to charge you for a new one I think about £30 a kit will be ample. Shirts, Socks, Shorts BRING THEM ON MONDAY ALSO. I will not ask again....

This is not fair on the players who do want to play, and have done what they have been told to do..... You are just spoiling it for everyone else... The kits don't come cheap and we work hard to get sponsors in every year to provide you with a full kit. No new kits will be issued. PERIOD! if you fail to bring the old ones in...

URGENT MESSAGE TO ALL PLAYERS GILRS & BOYS...
Girls and Boys it is with utmost importance that if you have not done so already, all registration documents must be brought to training or given to your allocated coaches ASAP. To justify what you need is:
2 x passport size photos.
Also a COPY of your Birth certificate or COPY of your Passport.
If you fail to bring in such documents you will be unable to play football. The reasoning for this is the club and the other players around you will not be insured if you play. The SWGL and the Aberdare League will fine any club playing unregistered players. If you fail to provide will be letting yourself, your team and the club down. I know we keep on but some of you are still not listening. So Girls this is to you!!! THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE you don't bring them in YOU DO NOT PLAY!!!!!! Boys you ought to listen too.....
Chairman
04 September 2007 21:24:33
Girls Under 14's will be playing their first match on the 23rd September. Details to follow. This is dependant on registrations.

Girls!!!
As soon as we get the relevant number of players in place and registered for U14 and U16's then we can look into getting you started into a league, all be it late in the day. As The chairman quite rightly pointed out, unless we get commitment it is not ethical for any team to play if they DO NOT have the numbers. As it stands at the moment we DO NOT have the numbers. You need a MINIMUM OF 15 PLAYERS PER TEAM at these age groups to ensure it can be run smoothly 11 playing and 4 subs. All I can say is if any of you know U14's or U16's girls who are looking to play for a team tell them to come along to training on Monday's 5pm-6pm and then we will look at this situation again. At present we have 2 U16's players and 5 U14's registered although there are approximately 15 more girls names who have been to practice on more than one occasion at these age groups who are not registered. This figure does not even justify a 5 a side team for either age group you need 7 players for that. I am hoping within the next few weeks to inform all secondary schools within the cynon valley area of our requirements, this will hopefully entice some more committed girls to join us. It is imperative that in order to play football in any league all players must be registered. You can do this by submitting 2 passport size photographs and a copy of birth certificate or passport along with all relevant details regarding yourself to your appointed coach. If any player fails to do this small request you personally as a player will be unable to play ANY form of league football with ANY CLUB as you will not be insured. Any club who plays unregistered players will also incurred large fines by their league's weather it be SWGL or the Aberdare League and possible drastic action can be enforced against the club . This applies to both girls and boys of any age. This is not the first time registration has come up in conversation a no doubt it wont be the last. But guys this is so important you get your documents in ASAP otherwise you will not be allowed to play with your team and all that hard training and your footballing skills will be wasted .
alison lloyd
03 September 2007 20:05:42
well done on sunday girls we are all proud of you
Chairman
03 September 2007 12:49:07
Girls U14 and U16 football hasn't taken off in Aberdare despite the local media coverage/flyers etc. In order to run a team you need at least 15 regular players within that age group, since the club has had very little interest during the summer months for the U16 and U14 age groups, the Club has therefore not been able to register a team for the start of the 2007-2008 season. If and when we are able to register a team the South Wales Girls League will review the situation for entry into their league.

Well done to all the boys and the coaches who participated and helped out with the Liverpool Way held at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff 30th July- 3rd August. You were all a credit to this club, behaved impeccably and stood out from the crowd with your team spirit and sheer determination. It is a total shame that only a handful of our players could make it this time even with the 6 month warning, web site pleas, Newspaper articles and letters sent out on several occasions (we couldn't have done anymore if we tried). Once everyone sees the photographs they will realise what a chance in a lifetime experience and fantastic opportunity they have thrown away.

Even though I am an Arsenal Fan it was well worth the money and if it comes round again I will not hesitate!!

I think this camp was a breath of fresh air. How often does anyone get a chance to have penalty shootouts with Bruce Grobbelaar in goals!! Being coached by the legends that are Ronnie Whelan, Michael Thomas (Ex Arsenal) and John Durnin and having actual Academy coaches from the Liverpool academy watching your every move. I hope these camps will long continue.
For those who missed out this time
!! TOUGH YOUR LOSS YOU SNOOZE YOU LOSE!!
For the ones who went
!!WHAT A FANTSTIC UNFORGETTABLE TIME AND WELL DONE TO YOU ALL!!

Hi Girls

I have good news!! Charlotte telephoned me today and as soon as she sorts out her hectic shedual with her Cardiff & Wales commitments, she will be in a better position to come along and help get you guys get ready for next season. She has been very busy, but has assured me that she really can't wait to come along and become part of our coaching team. She is hoping to start with us within the next few weeks. So for those of you who seemed to doubt me and this situation..... JUST BE PATIENT AND GOOD THINGS DO HAPPEN!!! I hope that has cleared that one up!!!! X Lorraine

Lorraine.
Many thanks for your message and kind words. I echo your comments in respect of all the girls associated with the four teams that have made it to the Semi Finals, a great achievement! All the girls associated with U12's football should be proud of themselves this last year with their determination, team spirit and most of all sportsmanship.

Please also pass on best wishes and good luck to Aberdare from all at Caerphilly.
